Will the Memo Van Swing fit my campervan?

Different Van Swing versions are available for a range of vans and campervan conversions. The correct version depends on your vehicle and its towbar arrangement.

The module mounts to a suitable existing flange towbar. Before quoting, we check your vehicle, towbar and bike carrier together.

Weight capacity and bike carrier compatibility

The Memo Van Swing has a maximum payload of 60 kg, including the bike carrier and bicycles combined. For example, a carrier weighing 15 kg leaves up to 45 kg for the bikes, subject to any lower limits applying to your installation.

Compatibility must be checked before purchase. The special carrier tow ball means some bike carriers will not fit; Memo advises that most Thule bike carriers are incompatible.

A 13-pin electrical extension cable is included.

The Memo Van Swing is for bike carrier use and is not suitable for towing a trailer or caravan.

Can I carry electric bikes?

A suitable combination may be possible. The carrier and bikes must stay within the combined weight limit, and the carrier must be suitable for your bicycles.

Can I open the rear doors with the bikes attached?

The swing mechanism moves the carrier aside to provide rear access. We check door clearance for your particular installation.

Do I need an existing towbar?

The Van Swing requires a suitable flange towbar. If you do not have one, ask us about supplying and fitting a compatible arrangement.

Can I tow with the Memo Van Swing?

No. Its special towball is intended for a compatible bike carrier, not a trailer or caravan.
